Boaters planning to navigate the Colorado River near the I10 should brace for a temporary halt this week. The Ten West Corporation is gearing up to erect new power lines spanning the lifeblood between Arizona and California, effectively closing the river to all boating traffic for safety reasons. The closure, detailed by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, is set to take place from January 23, 2024, through January 30, 2024, within the hours of 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
