The 12th annual Lunar Festival in Riverside, California, concludes today after two days of celebrating the Year of the Dragon and the arrival of the lunar new year in Asian American communities.
The festival kicked off on Saturday with various performances and cultural presentations in downtown Riverside. Today’s festivities commenced at 11 a.m. along Mission Avenue, featuring the Dragon Phoenix Lion and Dragon Dance Team and the Valverde School of Performance.
Attendees can enjoy performances by the Filipino Martial Arts School, Tang Arts, Japanese dance performers, and more. Additionally, up to 150 food vendors and local artisan marketplaces will be present.
The Lunar Festival continues until 7 p.m. on Sunday, and admission is free. For more information, visit pananaevents.com.
