A 35-year-old man allegedly involved in a fatal shooting in San Bernardino County earlier this month was apprehended late last week in Arizona, officials announced Monday.

Authorities learned about the deadly incident on Sept. 2 after responding to reports of a shooting at around 3:15 a.m. near the intersection of Klicktat Avenue and Quinnault Road in Apple Valley, a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department stated.

When deputies arrived at the location, they found the victim, identified as 39-year-old Oro Grande resident Jonathan Cuevas suffering from a gunshot wound inside of a vehicle.
