A homicide investigation is underway after one person was found dead when a home caught fire in the San Gabriel Valley early Monday.
The fire was reported on the 700 block of Danecroft Avenue in Glendora shortly before 2:30 a.m.
Los Angeles County firefighters arrived at the scene and knocked down the blaze just after 3 a.m.
One person was found dead inside the home along with two dogs, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed.
No information regarding the age or identity of the victim was released.
Homicide investigators were called to the scene however the spokesperson said it had not been determined if a homicide took place.
The cause of the fire also remains under investigation.
