In response to hazardous air quality caused by the Line Fire, the Rialto Unified School District (RUSD) closed all schools and support sites from Tuesday, September 10, to Friday, September 13, 2024. According to district officials, the decision was made to protect the health and safety of students and staff as smoke from the wildfire, burning near Highland, CA, deteriorated air quality across the region.
