Discussion: A ridge of high pressure will develop over the Southern California area. Normally, Southern California Weather Force will wait until Corona, California gets over 100F in order to know what the inland zones from there will do. Corona sits where the sea breeze comes through the 91 freeway out of Orange County, and when it goes over 100F it means that inland will be higher, which constitutes to an official heat advisory to be issued.

Areas across Santa Clarita will be well over 100F due to this pattern.

For now, use the maps here for the official heat advisory number for your area. The coast will not be in this.

LONG RANGE: We will be seeing a warmer than normal October till the last week. The seasonal forecast will be out during the third week of the month. PRELIMINARY estimations are of an average to wetter than normal winter yet again, despite a La Nina.
