Sheriff Captain Northrup and Fire Chief Tim O’Connell presented the police and fire safety updates for September at the Calimesa City Council meeting on Oct. 7. Northrup told the council that in September there were two assaults, one burglary, five vehicle thefts, and 10 regular thefts. The total number of part one crimes came to 18, which was down from 24 in August.
