Robbery suspect arrested after police pursuit in Southern California

Authorities with the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man wanted for robbery, burglary, carjacking and an outstanding warrant after a pursuit Monday afternoon.

Officers with the Riverside Police Department initially spotted the man behind the wheel of an SUV with near the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Magnolia Avenue, a police department spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, the suspect failed yield, launching a chase that ultimately was taken over by CHP and SBSD.

Shortly after Sky5 caught up with the pursuit, the suspect was seen pulling over in front of a home, casually exiting the vehicle and surrendering when he was surrounded and tackled by law enforcement officers with guns drawn.
