Riverside Sheriff’s Department Investigates Soboba Homicide, Juvenile Suspected in Moreno Valley Man’s Death

The Riverside Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating a homicide in Soboba that occurred on November 6th, leaving one man dead and another injured. According to a press release, deputies responded to the scene at the 43200 block of Castile Canyon Road shortly after 11:35 a.m. and found 43-year-old Souriyan Souksanti from Moreno Valley with traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is being led by the Central Homicide Unit, which is working to identify the responsible suspect or suspects. The identity of the injured male, who survived the assault, has not been made public. Authorities have stated that his injuries are not life-threatening, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A 17-year-old juvenile from Riverside has been identified in connection with the homicide. Currently in custody on an unrelated case, the juvenile will face charges of murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
