A man in is in custody after a dangerous high-speed chase across Southern California freeways and into downtown Los Angeles that ended in a crash.
It’s unclear what time or where exactly the pursuit was initiated, though deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were chasing a driver in the area of Long Beach at around 5:30 p.m. before cancelling their involvement.
So far, KTLA has been unable to confirm if this was the same suspect.
When CHP picked up the pursuit from their helicopter, the suspect was traveling on the northbound 110 Freeway and was seen driving on the shoulder of the roadway in moderate to heavy traffic, as well as weaving in and out of other motorists.
