BEAUMONT – Many athletes from Redlands schools excelled at the Citrus Belt League track and field finals on Thursday night at Beaumont High.
Redlands High’s Su’Riah Williams won the girls’ discus with a heave of 150 feet. That just missed the meet record of Redlands’ Celeste McVey (151-3) set in 1991.
Williams also won the shot put with an effort of 39-8 ½.
“It’s pretty great,” Williams said. “I still feel like there’s work to be done, but I’m pretty proud of it. I’d like to win CIF (the CIF-Southern Section meet).”…
