Heat alert issued for Southern California as temperatures could soar to triple digits

A heat alert has been issued for parts of Southern California over the weekend, and meteorologists are warning of the dangers of heat-related illnesses.

Between Friday and Saturday, temperatures could get much hotter than 90 degrees and even reach triple digits in parts of the Inland Empire. Experts are saying these two days are set to be the two hottest afternoons of 2025 so far in the region.

This extreme weather has triggered local news outlet KCAL News to declare a Next Weather Alert for Friday and Saturday. The alert will affect the Antelope Valley, Inland Valleys and Inland Empire.
