As a low pressure system moves through the Southwest, on-shore winds will be an issue this weekend.A Wind Advisory has been posted for the West end of the Coachella Valley into the San Gorgonio Pass and also includes area mountains and parts of the High Desert through Sunday morning. Also — because of elevated windblown dust and dirt — an Air Quality Alert has been issued for the Coachella Valley through Sunday morning.Any precipitation over Southern California associated with this frontal passage will be very light and limited to mountains this evening into Sunday afternoon.Along with strong winds this weekend, the Valley will also experience slightly cooler-than-normal high temperatures in the upper-80s/lower-90s. Then — as an upper-level ridge of high pressure builds over the Southwest — Valley highs will begin to heat-up. You can expect triple-digit highs Monday through Friday of next week.See images for details.@JerrySteffen @NBCPalmSprings
