Suspected Attempted Murderer and Arsonist Apprehended in Southern California After Years on the Run

After nearly four years on the run, a man suspected of attempted murder and arson has been taken into custody in Southern California. According to a Facebook post by the Galt Police Department, Mario Felix, 48, of Galt, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals on June 24.

In October 2021, Felix allegedly set his house on fire and then opened fire on family members at a separate location. Though shots were fired, the Galt Police Department reported that no injuries were sustained in the incident. While the attempted shooting took place in Galt, Felix was initially elusive, fleeing to a gas station in Ripon, CA, where his vehicle was found abandoned; even with an arrest warrant, he escaped immediate capture…
