At the Devore Shelter in San Bernardino, Bob stares out of his kennel cage; his eyes carefully focused on the volunteers and staff as if begging to be loved and freed forever from his cage. How did it happen that this one-year-old terrier mix was found as a stray on July 13 near Avenue H and 5th Street in Yucaipa?
On Friday, Bob became eligible for adoption. At this time, he is listed as “rescue only” because a few of his toes on his back paw appear to be fractured. He is currently wearing a splint, but would need to be taken to a qualified veterinarian for an examination and subsequent treatment.
