Racing on Day 2 of the 2025 Bonneville Speed Week was halted after a violent crash involving the Speed Demon Racing that has taken the life of its veteran driver Chris Raschke (pictured). The team’s new Streamliner, Speed Demon III, driven by Raschke, 60, was making a preliminary pass down Bonneville’s Course No. 1 and reportedly traveling at some 300 mph when it went airborne around the 2.5 mile mark.
