California weather: Record-shattering heat as wildfires rage and relief still days away

Southern California is gripped by a dangerous, multi-day heatwave, with Extreme Heat Warnings in effect through Sunday at 9 PM PDT across much of Los Angeles County, including downtown and inland areas.
