Multi-County Burglary Ring Dismantled After Yearlong Investigation

LOS ANGELES COUNTY – After more than a year and a half of investigation, Southern California authorities say they’ve taken down a burglary crew responsible for a wave of smash-and-grab crimes targeting businesses across four counties.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Bureau, Metro Detail, said the group broke into liquor stores, tobacco shops, pharmacies, and convenience stores in Los Angeles County, later linking them to similar heists in Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

Detectives say the suspects used hooded sweatshirts and masks to hide their identities, cut through security doors with power tools, and fled in high-performance vehicles, including stolen Chevy Camaros. Some burglaries sparked dangerous police pursuits…
