Violent attack on wife leads to California man’s assault weapons: SBSD

A California man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies investigating a domestic violence call say they discovered a cache of weapons, including illegal assault rifles, late last month.

An early morning 911 call on Aug. 30 led authorities to the home on the 14800 block of Carmel Street in Fontana, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release Monday.

Arriving deputies immediately called for additional units after finding a woman outside suffering from a severe head injury and learning that her husband was armed with a handgun inside the home.
