Transient linked to multiple Southern California school break-ins

Police believe a transient spotted on surveillance video is responsible for three separate break-ins at middle schools in Southern California.

In the most recent incident, a school resource officer at Shivela Middle School in Murrieta was notified on Monday about a burglary that occurred over the weekend.

The suspect, identified as Marice Reid, forced entry through a window and stole items from the administration area, the Murrieta Police Department stated in a post on its Facebook page Wednesday.

“Some of these items included school keys, cash, gift cards and a wallet belonging to an employee,” police said…
