Riverside County law enforcement is investigating an attack on a wild burro near Moreno Valley, shot by someone armed with a bow and arrow.
A photo released by the non-profit group DonkeyLand Rescue showed the burro with an arrow lodged in its midsection. A veterinarian with SoCal Equine Hospital in Norco said the burro has been operated on, and is recovering.
