Target shooters put hikers in harm’s way

MONO COUNTY, Calif. (KOLO) – Three target shooters from Southern California were arrested and booked into jail on Friday, Sept. 26, after Mono County Sheriff’s Office deputies allegedly found them shooting north of the Parker Lake Trail in June Lake, according to a 7 p.m. agency Facebook post.

Responding deputies feared an active shooter and immediately moved toward the sound of fire, the post said.
