San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department Seizes Firearms and Drugs in Multi-Agency Crime Crackdown

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has launched an extensive crime suppression initiative dubbed Operation Consequences that spanned between September 29 and October 5, 2025. The maneuver included the collaboration of multiple law enforcement agencies, targeting areas known for high criminal activity and executing a series of search warrants across San Bernardino County, including locales such as Juniper Avenue and Bluewood Drive in Fontana, Cedar Street in San Bernardino, and Old Highway 58 in Barstow, among others.

A report from the Sheriff’s Department indicated that over the course of the operation, 15 firearms were confiscated, nine felony arrests were made, and approximately one pound of Methamphetamine was seized. Among the firearms seized were two ghost guns, weapons that are particularly troubling for law enforcement due to their lack of traceable serial numbers and their ability to be assembled through parts purchased online without background checks. The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has approved funds dedicated to this county-wide crime suppression effort with the intent to tackle quality-of-life issues and bolster law enforcement services.

In a statement obtained by the Public Affairs Division, the mixture of personnel from various divisions, such as the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, and partnering agencies like California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino Police Department, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations, are coordinating their efforts over several months. Operation Consequences sets its sights on reducing violent offenses, disrupting street gang operations, and detaining individuals engaged in the illegal possession, manufacturing, and distribution of firearms.
