California left shook by chaotic storm bringing snow and possible tornado

California needs to brace itself for a potentially destructive storm this week, set to make its way across the West Coast. The weather system will also bring with it some much-needed rain to the region and some mountain snow for the first time since early spring.

Monday morning in Oregon and Northern California already saw a series of showers, while rain and high-elevation snow are forecast to expand as the storm moves southward along the Pacific coast.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Chad Merrill explained, “The rain will come fast and furious Monday afternoon in the Bay Area and by Monday evening in the Central Valley of California.”
