November begins with two earthquakes in Southern California

The start of November was kicked off by a pair of earthquakes in Southern California, including one in San Bernardino County.

A magnitude 2.8 earthquake was reported at 12:31 p.m. on Nov. 1, about 2 miles north of Big Bear City, the National Geological Survey reported.

The quake struck just west of Highway 18 and Baldwin Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains…
