A Helendale teenager remains at large after he came home drunk Saturday night and tried to stab his father, then significantly damaged his father’s pickup before fleeing.
The 17-year-old, whose identity has not been released, returned to his home in the 27500 block of Silver Lakes Parkway at about 11:20 p.m., at which time he was “under the influence of alcohol,” the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.
“When confronted about his behavior, the juvenile brandished a knife and attempted to stab the victim through a metal security door,” deputies said…
