Jake Haro, the father who pleaded guilty to murdering his infant son Emmanuel, has been transferred from Riverside County Sheriff’s Office supervision to state prison custody. The Sheriff’s Office notified our newsroom that Haro is now in the care of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.Haro was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after admitting to the killing of his son. Meanwhile, his wife, Rebecca Haro, has pleaded not guilty to murder and filing a false police report. According to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office, she is scheduled for a felony settlement hearing on January 21 of next year.Prosecutors say the cases remain ongoing as Rebecca Haro continues to fight the charges.
