A Southern California nonprofit is changing the lives of injured veterans by helping them summit Mount Baldy and some of the world’s highest peaks.
The Heroes Project was founded by Tim Medvetz and empowers disabled veterans through mountaineering, proving that injuries do not define them.
Medvetz started the program 16 years ago after surviving a motorcycle crash and realizing the therapeutic power of nature when he recovered from numerous surgeries to scale Mt.
