San Bernardino police officers shot and killed an alleged robbery suspect Friday evening after responding to reports of an armed man.
Around 6 p.m., officers patrolling the area of Northpark Boulevard were waved down by a store clerk who said a robbery had just occurred. According to investigators, the suspect had walked into the business, aimed a loaded revolver at the clerk’s head, and demanded cash. During a struggle, the suspect fired the gun, narrowly missing the clerk, but the clerk was eventually able to wrestle the handgun away.
Police say the man then left the store, went to his vehicle, and grabbed a loaded rifle before heading back toward the entrance. The clerk flagged down officers as the suspect approached with the weapon…
