Dramatic video captured the moment a pickup truck sailed through the air and crashed onto the 210 Freeway in Rialto Friday evening, triggering a violent two-vehicle collision that shut down traffic in both directions for hours.
The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on Dec. 5 near Linden Avenue and Renaissance Parkway. According to Rialto police, a white Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Linden Avenue when, for unknown reasons, the driver suddenly veered to the right, crossed a dirt field and went through a Caltrans fence before becoming airborne.
The truck then launched off the overpass, landing in the carpool lane of the eastbound 210, where it was broadsided by a white GMC Acadia traveling in the same lane. The impact caused both vehicles to overturn, with the pickup ultimately coming to rest in the westbound lanes…
