Parts of California are bracing for a ‘Christmas miracle’ with the potential for rain and snow after a winter heatwave saw soaring temperatures.

Much of California has seen a prolonged dry spell during Fall, with temperatures in SoCal reaching high of 82F last week – however things are set to change as we head closer to Christmas day. Forecasters say heavy rainfall could drench much of the entire coast of California between December 23 and Christmas Day.

Areas along the Sierra Nevada could even see snowfall as temperatures plunge next week. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center said rain could be fulled by atmospheric river storms, which hammered Washington State over the weekend, causing widespread devastation and mass evacuations…
