Man arrested after armed robbery reported at upscale Southern California mall

A man was taken into custody following reports of an armed robbery at an upscale mall in Calabasas.

Details surrounding the incident were limited at first; however, a spokesperson from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s Lost Hills Station was able to confirm that an armed robbery involving a subject with a gun was reported Tuesday night.

A suspect was arrested in connection with the case, the spokesperson said, but they were unable to provide more information right away.

Reports from stringer service TNLA indicated the armed robbery took place at the Calabasas Commons shopping center around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday. The stringer stated that the suspect was arrested at Mulholland Drive and Calabasas Road, not far from the shopping center.
