(FOX 5/KUSI) — A newly-expanded program is allowing some high school students direct admission to 16 Cal State universities with a 2.5 minimum GPA.
“Getting that letter that says ‘hey, you’re eligible,’ that opens up a whole new opportunity for students they might not have considered before,” CSUSM Interim Chief Enrollment Officer Ed Mills said. “I do think that will continue to help our admissions process grow.”
Students must meet the GPA and class requirements, and then submit an application. Eligible students would get direct admission to 16 Cal State universities. CSUSM is the only school in San Diego County on the list.
