The Coachella Valley area was rocked by a 4.9 magnitude earthquake (downgraded slightly from an original posting of 5.1) centered approximately 10-miles NNE of Indio, California (33.888 N/-116.174 W) at a depth of 1.87-miles at 5:56p late Monday afternoon.This Intermediate quake was followed by five Moderate shakers, a 3.3 (5:57p), 3.4 (5:57p), 3.0 (6:27p), 3.5 (6:50p). and a 3.2 (8:57p).These aftershocks also include four 2s and well over 50 1s.The first image shows all Earthquakes at a magnitude 1 or higher… the second image maps all quakes at a 2 or above.@JerrySteffen@NBCPalmSprings
