Maersk has opened a new ground freight facility in Fontana, expanding its trucking and distribution operations in Southern California.
The new 165,000-square-foot hub, located in the Inland Empire, is designed to speed up regional freight and provide customers more reliable options for moving goods in and out of the area. Maersk says the site can cut turnaround times by up to five hours, thanks to its central location and direct access to major transportation corridors.
The Fontana facility operates 24/7 and includes 22 dock doors and a fleet of 18 vehicles. It sits near Interstates 10 and 15, close to Ontario International Airport, and within reach of regional rail connections, making it a key link for both regional and interstate freight…
