- At approximately 11:32 p.m. on January 31st, 2026, officers with the California Highway Patrol, along with firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department and AMR, responded to a reported vehicle versus pedestrian collision on the Inland Center on-ramp to Southbound 215 Freeway.
- According to CHP, two pedestrians were walking across the on-ramp when a speeding pickup truck struck one of them. The truck did not stop and fled the scene.
- Witnesses reported the pickup had windshield and front-end damage and was followed briefly by another vehicle.
- The suspect vehicle was last seen fleeing southbound on the 215 Freeway and then onto the 10 Freeway in an unknown direction.
