A police station in San Bernardino County was temporarily closed on Thursday, Feb. 12 after police say a local man brought in what he believed to be Civil War-era cannonballs for evaluation.
After inspecting the objects the man brought, Apple Valley Police Department officials determined they appeared to contain fuses and could possibly be explosive.
Out of an abundance of caution, the police station was temporarily closed. Safety protocols were implemented, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Bombs and Arson Division was contacted…
