March heat wave expected to scorch parts of Southern California

Weather experts say a ridge of high pressure is expected to produce a March heat wave, pushing temperatures past the 100-degree mark in parts of Southern California.

Beginning Wednesday, temperatures in the high 80s are expected to move into the High Desert and the Inland Empire, the National Weather Service reported.

The Low Desert should see highs in the 90s, while San Bernardino Mountain communities move into the high 60s and 70s.
