As the construction industry faces an ongoing skilled labor shortage, GAF, North America’s largest roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, recently hosted two GAF Roofing Academy training classes in the Greater Los Angeles region.
The sessions, held in Gardena in partnership with Best Contracting Services and ABC Supply Co., and at GAF’s manufacturing facility in Fontana, helped more than 50 individuals gain the skills needed to begin careers in the roofing industry.
The tuition-free, multi-day programs welcomed participants from across the region and included hands-on and classroom instruction designed to prepare individuals for entry-level roles in the roofing industry.
