A mountain biker was airlifted to the hospital Saturday with a major leg injury suffered during a race on Jurupa Mountain in Fontana.
San Bernardino County Fire Protection District responded at about 2:03 p.m. and paramedics determined that a helicopter was needed to fly the injured biker to a local trauma center.
