Trucker caught with 100 pounds of meth during DOT inspection

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. – What started as a simple Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance inspection ended in the finding of a major stash of methamphetamine and the arrest of a trucker in Indiana on Saturday.

Indiana State Police (ISP) say at approximately 4:20 p.m., an Indiana State Police Trooper stopped a white Freightliner semi truck on Interstate 70 eastbound at the 41-mile marker for “a routine DOT compliance inspection.”
