BEND, Ore. — A semi-truck driver pleaded not guilty Monday to manslaughter and reckless endangerment charges in a deadly crash last year on Highway 20 that killed two people.
Rajinder Kumar could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. His trial is set for January 2027.
Oregon State Police say Kumar was involved in the Nov. 24, 2025, crash on Highway 20 near Brothers that killed William Micah Carter, 25, and Jennifer Lynn Lower, 24.
