Redlands voices rise at ‘No Kings’ protest

At the intersection of West Redlands Boulevard and Orange Street — known locally as the “Peace Corner” — a steady stream of people gathered on March 28, filtering onto sidewalks with protest signs raised against the morning light. In Redlands, the demonstration unfolded with a familiarity that suggested both routine and urgency, as residents joined a nationwide “No Kings” protest that, by some reports, drew more than eight million participants across the country and was the largest in American history.

Organized in part by Together for Redlands, the protest carried a distinctly local rhythm. Passing cars slowed; some drivers honked in support, others moved through without acknowledgment. No counter protests were present.
