RivCo woman sentenced to 12+ years for fentanyl fatality

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KESQ) – A woman partly responsible for supplying a deadly dose of fentanyl to a 35-year-old Riverside man was sentenced today to 12 years, four months in state prison.

Jaclyn Christine Sherman, 32, of Riverside pleaded guilty in February to one count each of voluntary manslaughter and transportation of controlled substances for sale. The pretrial agreement with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office led to the dismissal of two related charges.

Sherman was one of three people involved in the death of Christopher Nicholas Lucia in 2023.
