The Fontana Police Department responded to nearly 8,000 calls for service and recorded 539 Group A offenses in February 2026, according to the department’s monthly crime statis- tics report detailing enforcement activity, crime trends and community outreach ef- forts across the city. The report shows officers handled 7,950 calls for service during the month and made 477 arrests. The department’s Priority 1 response time, which covers the most urgent emergency calls including violent incidents and life-threatening situations, averaged 4 minutes and 52 seconds.
Group A offenses — which include crimes against persons, property and society — totaled 539 incidents citywide. The report documented 120 crimes against persons in February. That category included 110 assaults, three sex offenses and two kidnappings. No homicides were reported during the month.
Property crime accounted for the largest share of reported offenses, with 270 incidents recorded. Larceny led that category with 102 cases, followed by 47 incidents of destruction or vandalism of property, 30 motor vehicle thefts, 19 burglaries and 26 fraud-related offenses.
