LEESBURG, Va. (WSET) — E.C. Glass and Salem met for the third time this season with the Class 4 boys lacrosse state championship on the line, and the Hilltoppers finished the job in a 10-8 win at Heritage High School in Leesburg.
Salem struck first when Parker Dallas scored just 50 seconds into the game to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead. Salem later led 2-0 in the first quarter before Glass got on the board on a goal by Preston Laughan to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Glass carried a three-goal advantage into the fourth quarter and extended it when John Sorenson scored to make it 9-5. Salem rallied late, and with 6:30 remaining, Holden Custer scored to pull the Spartans within one at 9-8…
