On Thursday, July 2, at 5:44 p.m., fire and EMS units from Bedford County responded to a reported vehicle fire on Hendricks Store Road in Bedford County, involving a commercial truck carrying appliances.
“Bedford County Fire & Rescue units arrived on scene to find a box truck that was involved in fire,” said Lieutenant Norville with Bedford County Fire & Rescue, who was on scene. “Moneta Volunteer Fire Department and the Saunders Volunteer Fire [Company] responded to the scene. The fire has been extinguished at this time. There are no injuries, and it is under investigation by the Bedford County Fire Marshal’s Office.”
