Since James Franklin was hired at Virginia Tech, it’s not only Hokies fans who have been paying close attention to every move he makes. So do a lot of Penn State fans who claim that they don’t care what happens next with him.
Since he was hired in Blacksburg a month after getting fired from Penn State, Franklin has hit the ground running in recruiting and is bringing the Hokies to some long overdue spots there. Virginia Tech and Penn State have been battling for some recruits, and the Nittany Lions and new coach Matt Campbell have picked up some recruiting wins over Franklin.
However, there has been some trolling of Virginia Tech and Franklin in some commitments, with recruits mocking Virginia Tech before making their selection. Some Penn State fans got a kick out of that, but they didn’t like it when the roles were reversed recently…
