ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT — One of the Roanoke Valley’s biggest recent economic wins is moving forward: RINGANA, an Austrian life-sciences company, is building its first U.S. headquarters in Roanoke — a project Gov. Abigail Spanberger announced on June 12, 2026 that is set to create 435 new jobs and bring an $85 million investment to the city over five years.
RINGANA, known for skincare products, nutritional supplements and functional beverages, will build a new campus at Blue Ridge Commerce Park in Roanoke. The site is designed as the company’s North American production and distribution hub, and will also house research-and-development operations to support future products — a mix of manufacturing, warehousing and R&D under one roof.
How the deal came together
According to the Governor’s office, Spanberger welcomed RINGANA’s leadership to Virginia in February to discuss the potential facility and the region’s workforce before the June announcement. To help land the project, the Commonwealth approved a $5 million grant from the Commonwealth’s Opportunity Fund, and the company’s hiring will be supported through the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program, a state customized-workforce-training program.
A boost for the valley
An investment of this size tends to ripple beyond the headcount — through construction and build-out, local suppliers and contractors, and the households new payrolls support.
