ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is alerting drivers of blasting and “slow rolls” on Interstate 81 scheduled to begin August 25.
It’s part of the interstate widening project between exits 143 and 150 in Botetourt and Roanoke counties.
About eight weeks of blasting will occur between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., Tuesday through Thursday. During blasting, slow rolls will be utilized in both directions, beginning at the 146 on-ramp northbound (Plantation Road) and the 156 on-ramp southbound (Troutville)…
